- Explain in detail why the image(s) was beneficial for the post. (3 Marks)
- The images I chose effectively convey the value that Sauzzy sauce will giveyou/ what it will allow you to achieve + the benefits of Sauzzy sauce. This was beneficial to include as it visually communicates the balance and food freedom that Sauzzy Sauce will give you- which is valuable to the consumer. Giving consumers “value” is important as “perceived value indicates how much a customer is prepared to pay for a product or service. This is determined by a product or service’s ability to meet the customer’s needs and inspire desire, especially in comparison with competitors and determines their loyalty to the brand” [i]
- All these images effectively convey the brands message in a visual manner- and also by including the Sauzzy sauce bottles- my brand will have a far higher chance at staying present in my consumer’s mind even after the fact- because as learned in class people are not only visual learners but we also remember visual things far more then text. In fact, “visuals increase retention by 42% “– as Images convey what words can’t and our human minds are wired to respond to images. ”[ii] Additionally, “one of the easiest ways to ensure that your audiences store information in their long-term memory is to pair concepts with meaningful images. Visuals help them make sense out of the content and direct attention, increasing the possibilities that the audiences will remember what you want them to remember.”[iii]– meaning that this was a great benefit for using these images.
- These images were beneficial to add to the web content as they not only visually showed what I was trying to say in the article without adding text- but also helped me strengthen my brand identity and message as it shows that you don’t have to choose between taste and health/ fitness- which is important as “What Is a Visual Identity and Why Does It Play a Crucial …Developing a strong visual identity is an essential component of building a successful brand. A solid visual identity creates brand recognition, differentiates your brand from competitors, establishes consistency and trust with customers, and creates an emotional connection with your audience.”
- These images evoke emotional appeal- which is important as discussed in class. Some of the emotions that these images help evoke/ convey are freedom, desire, relief of guilt and indulgence, lifestyle/ aspiration accomplishments and a sense of inclusion and community. This is important as “emotional appeal is a potent tool in advertising, offering numerous benefits such as increased consumer engagement, strengthened brand loyalty.”[iv] Additionally, “pictures have the power to enrich communication and stimulate emotional response.”[v]
- Engages and appeals to different audiences- within my target audience/their personas: considering I included numerous different images this will appeal to numerous different niche audiences that I’m trying to target – macro trackers, low-calorie food favourers, popple on a weight loss journey, people trying to live a healthy lifestyle, gym go-ers, meal preppers etc. This is important as “you need to unify your content as it needs to reach all your segments at once among your target audiences’ demographics, pain points, or interests to attract all the audiences as they search as this is when your content becomes a perfect match for their needs, you’ll see more return traffic, more conversions at critical points along their customer journeys, and ultimately, more sales. Even better, you’ll deliver the kinds of personalized experiences that make them realize that your business values them as human beings as well as customers.”[vi]
- Reinforces the Healthy Aspect- without copy- which is important as it allows me to visually communicate health Benefits without needing words- which is effective because, as learned and talked about in class “-The human brain processes visual information 60,000x faster than visual text” [vii]
